So finally, here are the pictures and the recaps from the WWI simulation. It went really well- there was massive chaos, people kept running out of ammunition, doctors were running out of bandages, nobody could hear anything (I was blasting Verdi's "Dies Irae" and the final section of "Pictures from an Exhibition"), the leaders couldn't really keep control and even when I called a cease-fire and gave them the opportunity to try again, they came up with the exact same strategy. We had a great debrief afterwards but I cannot find where I put the papers so no debrief info other than they all wanted to do it again. Definitely will do this again if I have the opportunity- thank you, Mrs. Hassig, for doing this with us when I was a sophomore. I'll never forget it and hopefully these kids won't!
