It is sweet and right to die for your counry

If you couldn't tell, I've been doing WWI with the 6th graders and spent last week listening to poetry. We listened to Wilfred Owen and Alan Seeger and John McCrae and I think it really impacted them: sad, depressing, angry, upset were the adjectives frequently used. We discussed the justification of war and whose life may be worth more. There were videos for each poem and we talked about what was going on in each picture and how that related back to the poems. I would say the liked the poems but these aren't something that you necessarily like. Today we take all of that and apply it to our WWI simulation. Hope it all works out! I will hopefully have pictures later today to be uploaded in a bit. I will also upload the videos we've been listening and watching. They're pretty powerful.

i'm on a pc right now so blogger sucks- technology will come later...
