OK, so they're not really London friends but they were friends I was in London with. Kristen flew down to San Diego for the weekend and on Friday morning, she and Mariah drove up toLaguna so we could hang out and spend some time together. It was a totally chill morning, which I loved. I read for a little while out on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, which was a little hazy until the girls showed up. We walked down to the intersection of Laguna Canyon and PCHand got some coffee to perk up for the morning. As we wandered through the small galleries and shops downtown, we chatted and commented on the art and talked for a gallery owner about Idaho. There was one gallery that had these very risque Dr. Seuss paintings- some were really interesting and some left us slightly speechless. Dr. Seuss, I didn't know that you were capable of such risque ideas! I love it! Best part of downtown was when we found an old Londonphone booth and popped inside. Memories of London!
We decided to go get some lunch and sit out of the beach. We found this cute little Pizza place that had these comfy lounge benches outside. We ordered some yummy pizza (Hawaiian) with a green salad but since our benches were in the shade, we headed down to the beach and ate there. Kristen and I dubbed ourselves Tsunami Watchers since there was a tsunami advisory and the beach was empty. The waves were incredible- a whole two feet! Can you catch the sarcasm? Eventually they let us down onto the beach and we were able to wander around and enjoy the sand and cliffs and the water. The sun was warm and bright, the haze was gone and it was so relaxing and wonderful to catch up with these two ladies. Love you girls!
