Birthday Weekend!

I turned 26 this weekend.

It started out with coffee with my favorite Candice. We spent her birthday together last year so it was only fitting that we had my birthday together as well. We chatted about everything and both of our jaws dropped when a bleached blonde lady with low-cut white wife-beater and acid-washed jeans walked into the coffee shop. I love Candice Malandice a ton.
I headed into Boise that night and went Rock Climbing at Urban Ascent with Tiff and some of her friends. I loved it. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. I made it almost to the top each time (the "rocks" were a little sparser at the top which made it difficult). But I want to go again, anytime! The next morning, despite worries of sore legs (although it was really the arms I had to worry about), I headed over to BSU for my first 5K. It wasn't too bad- lots of people but I had my Cody Skelly European Techno Electronica House mix to keep me running. It felt good to pass some people, although I myself was passed many times. The worst part was not knowing where exactly I was running and how long it was until I crossed the finish line. I did appreciate the free snackies at the end of the race and now I have another free t-shirt. I would definitely do another 5K, but maybe in a few weeks :)

That night I went downtown. We had dinner and drinks at the HaPenny first and some fun people stopped by to hang out.

Then we headed to the Basque Centre and finally out to Grainey's for some dancing. I got into Grainey's free because it was my birthday which was nice because at 26 I am still cheap and don't like to pay cover charges if I don't have to. Not as many of my friends came out as I had expected which was disappointing but I met some great new people that I"m excited to get to know better.

I slept until noon the next day and then headed down to Parilla Grill for some lunch with Brooke and Bailie. It was delicious and quite warm on the outside patio. I love hanging out with the lovely Godwin ladies. And we stopped at Goody's Chocolate shop on the way home and got some chocolates and gummies.

The rest of the afternoon and evening were spent hanging out at the Godwins, napping, reading my new Thursday Next and relaxing. Thanks everyone for a great birthday weekend!
