Chez moi (or Chez nous)

So a lot of you have been asking where are the pictures of the house, seeing as that I've been promising them forever and never posting anything. So now, on my last day here, may I present A Walk Around My House- courtesy of my Macbook and Photobooth. Therefore the pics are kinda poor quality and are at weird angles. Just pretend I have you in my shirt pocket or something while taking you around the house.

When entering the house, the first thing you see after going down the hall is the kitchen. It's quite a lovely kitchen- and I love the checked floors. It always makes me think of the kitchen in Clue and the checked floors there. I really liked how the fridge had doors that looked like cupboards- at first I didn't know where the fridge was but turns out it just blends really well. I liked the window about the sink too- nice to people watch our neighbors while doing the dishes.
Then we head down the hall, past the stairs and get to the living room. That TV is not ours (see previous post- it's Neal's). It's a nice set up though, really comfy couches, lots of sun coming in on teh big windows/doors on a day like today and lots of "counter" space for pictures and frames.

The flag is not usually there :) It's still up from Saturday's match. Please enjoy Roni and Kim on the couch watching the Spain/Switzerland match. Switz is up by one but Fern just went in. Fern will make it all better.

This is our little breakfast nook in the corner of the living room- we have another table in teh kitchen but this is a better table- more space, larger table and more light.
So that's the ground floor- up the stairs for the second level.

I had a lovely sized bathroom, perfect for all the junk that I collect over the years- lotions, creams, hair products, shampoos, soaps, etc. My favorite part was the bathtub- perfect for warming up after being out on a long day in the rain.

The hallway leading to Roni's room (standing at the guest room and my room). We're not going into Roni's room. You really don't want to see it. Trust me on that one.

And finally, my sanctuary for the last few months- my room. Clearly pictures are important for me. See if you can spot yourselves :) I love how I used the windowsill as a bookshelf since I didn't have anything else. And of course, my favorite thing is my big orange Good Riddance poster. Always made me smile.

And there you have it- 50 Lark Hill, it all its glory. I'll try and take better pictures with my camera later today but for now, hope you enjoyed the tour.
