WEIRD

I have been having some WEIRD dreams lately. I have no idea what is causing them but I'm not sure if I'm OK with it or annoyed by it. For the record, let me say that other than really little, I was/am never afraid of nightmares. I actually kind of enjoy them (as odd as that sounds) because for me, dreams are like movies. But they are only movies that you see once so even if they're scary, you better stick around because otherwise you'll never know the ending. So if I wake up in the middle of any dream, even a nightmare, I have to go back to sleep, because otherwise I'm never going to know what is going to happen and I have closure issues.

Lately the dreams have just been bizarre. First there was the wedding series of dreams where I was at the weddings of Danielle, Hadas and Maya, although they were all slightly different than the actual weddings. Well, slightly may be an understatement. They were really different. The only thing that was the same was that it was their weddings. Hadas' was in the states with people from the Boise synagogue. Super weird. And now I can't even describe what the dreams are about, I just know that they are filled with bizarre but real life events, which include trips to various places, working in committees with people, being in charge of things. I wake up several times during these dreams and whenever I get back to sleep, there's always a marked change in the plot of the dreams but they are still interesting.

Here's my problem though. I always wake up tired. I'm getting worried that I'm doing so much crazy stuff in my dreams that I'm not getting any rest. Is that a legitimate complaint? And if so, how do I work on making my dreams less eventful. Hiking through the mountains with the cast of How I Met Your Mother is fun but if it makes me tired, then I'd rather not be hiking with them. Maybe we could just get some coffee instead.....

And I have to admit, one of my favorite quotes about dreams comes straight from We Will Rock You.

Galileo: No! We don't have time! I have to go to the Seven Seas of Rhye! I had a dream about Big Macca and the others. I dreamt that there were these cops, and cages made of lasers, and -

Scaramouche: Gazza, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, more boring than people wanting to describe their dreams to you.

Galileo: No, but really -

Scaramouche: No, trust me on this. It kills relationships stone dead. The morning one partner wakes up and says 'it was amazing, there was a rabbit, in a bowler hat, cooking an omelette' - that is when love dies.
