A Photo Extravaganza

Pictures from Scotland, as promised!

picture hanging in the bathroom of the hostel

inside of St. Magnus

gorgeous stained glass windows

sooooo may skeletons etched in the church

more ceilings- you know how i feel about them

the Earl's Palace across from the church

another view of the palace- this one was similar to the one i saw on my bike ride

me inside the giant fireplace in the great hall

creepy hallways outside the cellars on the palace

edward vii greeting us in aberdeen

there's always a church... and it's always called st. nicholas

looks like a castle but really it is the aberdeen city council

the dining room in the provost's house in aberdeen

scenes from christ's life in the painted gallery at the provost's house

these paintings are incredibly rare- they are catholic and survived the reformation as well as henry viii's act of destroying anything catholic in the country

the nursery in the provost's house

this mannequin squared the bejeezus out of me in the tollhouse museum

this cannot be comfortable....

these staircases would have killed me if my pack was on my back

sketch of cate eddows by walter sickert.... interesting because cate was killed by jack the ripper and there are people who think that sickert was really jack the ripper

inside the aberdeen art gallery

a portrait by william hogarth, one of my favorite artists

a rodin sculpture i have sketched in my sketchbook from london

the aberdeen public library
